The water-based paint has less smell when applies to surfaces. This allows fresh and breathable air. While other oil based paints give off strong offensive smell. You will be required to put on a mask and ensure that the area is well ventilated. As a result, water-based emulsion is suitable in large areas.

Furthermore, moisture, smoke and grease can cause the oil-based paints to yellow over time. Compared with oil-based paint, water-based paint is less likely to turn yellow,it’s ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms.

Our water-based emulsion spreads out thinner than other oil-based paint, but has high film flexibility that influence the final performance and contribute to coating longevity.

The refinishing kit is ideal to refinish bathtubs, tiles, countertops,washbasin, toilets.

Works on all kinds of surface, including ceramic, porcelain, acrylic, fiberglass, and enamel.

Note: If the bathtub has large chips or cracks, please repair it with porcelain repair kit first, and then finish the surface.

1. Important Surface Preparation

The following two methods can create a slightly rough surface so that help get the new finish to stick to the old surface.

Polish thoroughly the entire surface of the bath with a “rough” sandpaper, wire brush or with a special header on the drill until there is abrasion on the enamel.

Spray the Lysol Toilet cleaner (acid) on dry tub, leave the acid cleaner on the surface for 5-10 minutes, which will slightly etch the smooth glaze surface. If necessary, repeat the process.

2. Mix and Stir

Mix Part A and Part B throughly about 2-3 minutes, paying extra attention to the bottom and the walls of the can.

If you do not mix the material well enough, in some areas the material will not get hard, and these areas eventually may turn yellow and exfoliate with time. in some areas, the material may be mixed with too much hardener, resulting in small particles.

3. Easy Apply

Method 1： Apply 2 or more coats using a roller and brush. The first coat will likely be splotchy and show the original color through the paint, but you will cover up any splotchy areas with the second or third coat of paint. Allow to dry for at least 2 hours between each coat.

>>>> Remove the tape between 40-50 minutes after you finished the painting.

Method 2：If you want a thick coat, and has experience in distributing evenly using a spreader and handing the draining of bathtub，you can choose “pouring method”.

>>>> Remove the tape 2 hours after you finished the pouring.

24 Hours Cure Time

Keep 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit in the bathroom, let your bathtub sit for at least 24 hours before you use it.

The new finish needs to dry completely before you run water over it.

Allow to dry at least 7 days before taking a hot bath. Then Your new DIY finish will last for years or last even longer.

If you don't let the finish dry long enough before you run hot water over it, you may end up with peeling in the new coating and you will need to start the process over again.

Semi-matte Finish

Involves a unique two parts application to give you the most durable refinished surface possible, delivering a finish that is as long lasting as it is beautiful.

Its full-seal coating will restores tub surfaces to a “like new” semi-matte finish. After drying, the surface is seamless, non-porous.

NOTE: After drying, it will provide a new semi-matte porcelain-like finish. Not a shiny porcelain finish.

Tub and Tile Refinishing

Also can be used on porcelain ceramic surface like tile countertops, toilets, bathtub tile surrounds and tile walls saving you up to 50% over the cost of replacement.

Note：

The pouring method need more experience in distributing evenly using a spreader and handing the draining of bathtub.

For beginners, to get a smooth and even surface, it is recommended to use the roller enclosed to apply the mixture 2-3 times.

And Allow to dry for at least 2 hours between each coat.
